Odisha Free Diagnostic Health Services Scheme
Nidan Scheme feature –
This yojana is to provide free diagnostic services in public health facilities to the people in the state.
The primary focus to reduce the IMR (Infant Mortality Rate) and MMR (Maternal Mortality Rate) in Odisha state.
Free diagnostic services facility, will also provide free of cost facility of Pathology tests, X-ray, CT scan and MRI tests.
Also, the state government introduces various schemes related to medicines and treatment.

Nidan Yojana & other Healthcare scheme allocation in Odisha budgets –
A total sum of Rs 9,164 crore allocated for public health care with an increase of about 19% over last year.
Rs 1353 crore provided under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana for medical/treatment facilities. The coverage up to ₹ 5 lakh per family in the case of male members and up to ₹ 10 lakh per family in the case of female beneficiaries.
Rs 1572 crore made under Mukhyamantri Swasthya Seva Mission for better health infrastructure and services.
₹ 1755 crore for the National Health Mission, Rs 370 crore for maintaining the quality of laundry, sanitation, gardening, lifts in public facilities under this scheme.
₹ 3500 crores proposed to convert SCB medical college into AIIMS Plus institutes to provide better health services. Also, allocate a huge budget under the Public Health Response Fund for the management of the COVID-19 and emergency healthcare facilities.
