Benefits of Crop Loan Waiver Scheme –
The loan waiver will be given up to Rs 1 lakh to farmers in five phase.
The State Govt has promised to waive off loan of Rs 25000 in initial phase.
Rest ₹ 25000 to 1 lakh will waive off in next four phases in upcoming 4 years.
The state Govt allocate enough budget for this scheme and will eliminate financial burden of Rythus’ of the Telangana.
Telangana state Govt also develop separate portal for this scheme. The farmers will get relevant updates and information regarding CLW scheme.
Eligible loans – Short term production loans, crop loans against gold given by Scheduled commercial banks, Cooperative credit institutions (Urban cooperative banks, regional rural banks).
Not eligible loans – Advance against pledge, Hypothecation of agriculture procedure other than – Tie-up loans, Standing crops, Closed crop loans accounts/written-off loans, Loans of joint groups, Loan eligibility cards. Loans restructured and rescheduled.
Eligibility criteria –
- The farmers must be residents of Telangana state.
- The applicant must be farmer by profession (farming as a source of income)
- This scheme applicable for all crop loans that sanction after 1st April 2014 and outstanding till 11 Dec 2018.
